塞凡提(Miguel de Cervantes,1457~1616)的金石銘言數則：

＊人就算在地獄，也必須有朋友。

　(Man have to have friends even in hell.)

＊失去財富的人，損失慘重；失去朋友的人，損失更重；失去勇氣的人，失去一切。

　(He who loses wealth loses much;he who loses a friend loses more;but he that loses his courage loses all.)

＊我的老祖母常說，世上一共只有兩個家族：富人和窮人。

　(There are only two families in the world,my old grandmother used to say,the Haves and the Have-nots.)

＊跟貓玩耍的人，就得不怕抓傷。

　(Those who play with cats must expect to be scratched.)

＊上帝容忍惡人，但不會永遠如此。

　(God bears with the wicked,but not forever.)
